Long copy

Dear Friend,

There may come a point in time where long copy will be very useful for you. If you're not familiar with the term long copy all it means is a letter that has many pages.

Long copy is very effective when you have an usual offer, a new type of offer, or when you're writing to people who need to be highly informed before making a decision.

The great advantage to knowing how to write long copy is you can demand more money for your offer. The more educated your reader is the more likely it is they'll take action on a hefty purchase.

Now when you write long copy you might get worried and ask yourself, "Who is going to read all that copy?" The answer is the people who are mostly likely to respond!

Real prospects are hungry for information and the more you give the more likely they are to respond.

So by now you're probably dying to know how to write long copy successfully…

Well there are just a few things you should know:

1. You Must Completely Understand Your Targeted Reader and Know What Truly Interest Them

Your sales copy must be interesting if your targeted reader is going to read all the way to the bottom and take action. And the only way you'll know what interested your targeted reader is if you completely understand them.

You must take time to do research if you don't understand what kind of people your targeted readers are. When you do so you'll ensure that your copy speaks to them and hit emotional points which really interest them.

2. You Must Use Curiosity Seeds to Make Your Targeted Reader More Curious About What They're Reading

Curiosity is one of the strongest motivators you can use. Think about it. Some people will go to unimagined heights just to satisfy their curiosity.

Some people will buy your offer just because they are curious about it.

And using curiosity seeds will ensure that your targeted reader is compelled to read your entire copy… no matter what the length is. So make sure to strategically use curiosity seeds throughout your sales copy.

If you understand those two concepts you should be able to try your hand at writing some long copy. Another good idea would be to read ads and sales letter that are long in length. When you read them you'll see in action the two concepts I just present to you.

So use them immediately when you believe you can effectively use them.

Until next, continue taking action and making some passive residual income :)

winningformula

Dear Friend,

Do you want to know of a proven and tested sales letter formula that you can use time and time again, without worrying about it losing effectiveness?

Well I'm about to reveal it to you in just a moment. This is a formula that I've used to write many sales letters. And when you study ads you'll see that many copywriters over the decades have used this proven formula.

I'm not sure who coined the formula but the person I know who talks about it tremendously is Dan Kennedy. He claims this formula to be one of the best ways to minimize the objection of price!

So are you ready for me to reveal it?

OK, here it is…

It's called… Problem-Agitation-Solution

Heard of it before?

If not, it's one of the most powerful sales letter formulas known to copywriters. Even though copywriters will tell you about all their different formulas… This one formula has lasted the test of time.

So first starting with the Problem…

When you open your letter you state an existing problem that your reader is having. For example if your reader is having trouble getting traffic to their website then you can say "Don't you just hate it when you set up an amazing website but you for some odd reason you have trouble getting traffic to it?"

After you've stated the existing problem then you'd move onto agitating the problem…

You want the problem to seem so horrible that your reader says "I have to take care of this problem NOW!"

So for example you might continue to say "And while you're not getting any traffic you see similar websites popping up getting tons of traffic. How are they getting it and not you? Those webmasters are getting traffic and possibly making some good money while you're STUCK with an amazing website that looks more deserted than a baron wasteland! You've probably thought about cutting your losses short and throwing away your website…"

After you've agitated the problem and made the reader feel extremely uncomfortable about the problem, the next step is to present the solution. Do you see why this works so well?

You've effectively made the reader realize they have a problem, and that their problem is bigger than they think.

At the moment they'll be wondering how to solve the problem… But you've already solved it for them!

For example, "… But you don't have to do that. There is a way you can keep your website, start getting a flood of traffic , and if you want, monetize your website and start making a little part-time change on the side! If you want a popular website that improves your Alexa rankings, keeps visitors coming back for more doses, and have every webmaster envious of your website then check out my web traffic system called…"

Then I'd go on to present the product, it's benefits and features, make the offer and so on.

As you can see, providing a solution (or cure) to somebody's problem will sell well all the time. When you get a chance, watch infomercials and you'll see how they use Problem-Agitation-Solution formula.

Simply put — It's a time tested, proven sales formula that gets remarkable results when used correctly.

So I encourage you to start using this formula in your sales letter if you're not getting the type of response you want!

Until next time, continue taking action and making passive residual income.

Be Curious To See What's On The Other Side

Dear Friend,

When I say "being curious" I don't mean using curiosity elements within your sales copy. Even though curiosity elements will help boost response, I'm not going to discuss that today…

What I mean by "being curious" is actually being curious about life. This is something I learned from master copywriter, Joe Sugarman, in his book "Advertising Secrets Of The Written Word"

Joe talks about how living life to the fullest will help with your general knowledge. When you go out and experience the world you of course become more "worldly" thus becoming more entertaining and interesting.

And Gaining More General Knowledge is

Useful in Bringing Your Copy to LIFE!

Using your life experiences within your copy makes it more colorful and vibrant to your reader. Plus experiences create original ideas!

So like Joe recommends, It's a good idea to be curious about life. Try things you've never tried before. Read more books and take your imagination through the wildest journeys and farthest reaches of your mind, Travel around the world and meet new interesting people when you get the chance, pick up new hobbies that seem intriguing, have an interest in mastering new skills, and so on.

One of the great things about this advice is that it creates memories. And that's what is truly precious in life — The memories we create that we cherish for life!

So if you want to become a better copywriter and at the same time enjoy a more interesting life then I encourage you to be more curious about life.

Until next time, continue taking action and making passive residual income! :)
